Lorraine Rita (Ares) Nelson passed away January 20, 2012 at Banner Gardens Hospice in Mesa, Arizona.  She leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Kenneth R. Nelson of San Tan Valley, Arizona, a daughter Jennifer Brouillette of Mesa, AZ, and a daughter Susan Sorel of Gilbert, AZ.  She is also survived by her sister Norma Richard of Athol, MA, her sister Lola O’Mara of Marietta, GA, her brother Del Ares of Athol, MA and her brother Richard Ares of Marshfield, MA.  She leaves behind six grandchildren, Matthew Jones, Sarah Brouillette, Zachary Sorel, Emily Sorel, Abigail Sorel and Benjamin Sorel.  A viewing will be held January 25th at Mountain View Funeral Home in Mesa, AZ, with funeral services January 26th at the Meridian Building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Queen Creek, AZ.  Lorraine attended Athol schools and worked for several years at Ralph C. Mahar Regional High School in Orange, and retired from the Templeton Development Center.
