Claude Mesick, age 90, passed away February 7, 2012. He was born June 6, 1921 in Delhi Township, Ingham County, MI, the son of the late Henry James and Myrtle Dee (nee Barringer) Mesick.  Upon learning of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Claude volunteered for military service as a radio radar operator in anti-submarine coastal defense for the United States Navy until the end of WWII. He retired as a lever man from the Grand Trunk Railroad after 36 years of service.  Claude was preceded in death by his first wife Bernadine (nee Shepherd), his son Danny Mesick, his 2nd wife Laurel (nee Massie), and his 3rd wife Delores (nee Volborg); three brothers, Edward, Forest, and Henry, and his sister Margaret Jobson. He is survived by his daughter Vicki Bellon of Lansing, Michigan, his son Michael (Sevea) of Westley Chapel, Florida, and his sister Jeane Frechette of Swartz Creek, MI.  The family wishes to express their gratitude to Claude’s friends and caregivers, Jon and Audrey Cave, for their years of selfless dedication. There are no services planned by the family. Interment will be at Bethesda Cemetery, Marsh Grove Twp., near New Folden, Minnesota.
