Edward L. Lynch, age 90, of Mesa, died on February 28, 2012. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Thomas G. and Mary (Coyle) Lynch. He graduated from East Providence High School in 1940, then served in the US Army during WW II, and subsequently worked at the US Postal Service for many years. Ed was the husband of the late Mary Lynch and the late Lafern Harker. He was the brother of the late John A. Lynch, Mary A. Murphy, and Julia R. DiLucchio. He leaves his loving companion, Jennie Foote, of Mesa; his sister, Catherine E. Doran, of RI; his brother, Thomas J. Lynch, of TX; his nephew, Gerald Timothy Doran, of RI; and other nephews and nieces. His viewing will be held from 1:00 – 3:00PM on Monday, March 5 at Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 E. Main St, Mesa, AZ. The funeral will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM Tuesday March 6, 2012 at All Saints Catholic Church, 1534 N. Recker Rd, Mesa, AZ. Burial with military honors will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Mesa, AZ.
