Phyllis D. (Gunderson) Hollsten was born May 21, 1932 to Guy Gerhart Gunderson and Loretta (Larson) Gunderson at Memorial Hospital Eau Claire Wisconsin. She passed away April 4, 2012 in Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by her sister Peggy (Gunderson) Evans. A proud Norwegian, a superb knitter and most of all had a great respect from all that knew her as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her one wish for her obituary was to have all of her family listed by names. Phyllis’ four children Greg (Gina) of Colorado, Michael (Pam) of Virginia, Eric (Cathy) of Arizona and Nancy (Wayne) Cadigan of Minnesota, seven grandchildren: Sarah Burgess of Colorado, Andy Price of Utah, Keeley Hages of Utah, Jim and Tom Cadigan of Utah, and Chris and Dan Hollsten of Colorado; seven great grandchildren: Kess, Kira, Natasha Price of Utah, Evan and Chloe Cadigan of Utah, Ryker Cadigan of Utah and Gavin Burgess of Colorado. Phyllis is also survived by her loving husband of 58 and half years, Gordon. No service and cremation was requested by Phyllis, however, if you would like to make a donation in her name we suggest Banner Hospice of Mesa Arizona who took great care of Phyllis in her last few days or Foundations for COPD and Rheumatoid arthritis which she fought for the past several years. Mountain View Funeral Home of Mesa was very helpful to us to fulfill Phyllis’ needs.
