Victoria “Vickie” Plowman quietly departed this life on September 1, 2017.  She was born April 11, 1965, in Pueblo, Colorado to Ray and Virginia Plowman. Vickie was preceded in death by her dad, Ray; and is survived by her mom Virginia; sister Sherry, brothers Terry and Gary; nieces Sandy and Nicole and nephew Dustin; and many relatives and friends.

Vickie had a deep love for her family, and found joy in helping and making others feel better, not just in her personal life, but even more so in her professional life.

Vickie graduated from Alameda High School in Lakewood, and worked at the Regional Transportation District in Denver for more than 20 years.  In December 2007, she received her Associate Degree of Applied Science in Nursing from Front Range Community College-Denver that brought her to the Mesa area working for Banner Baywood Medical Center.  She then received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in September 2012, from Grand Canyon University-Phoenix while working for Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center.  She advanced to Clinical Nurse Manager of Oncology (the Fifth Floor) where she provided continual leadership, encouragement, and support to all of those who worked with her.  Vickie’s effortless caring and kindness was unlimited to her patients, their families, and her Team.

She loved her dogs, many through the years, and Tiny, Sadie, and Dakota are truly spoiled.  She was a true Denver Broncos fan, enjoyed going to the movies, playing games on Saturday with Aunt Paula and Uncle Larry, listening to George Strait with Starbucks Ice Tea, the peace and solitude of the beach and dolphins, and times with her family.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 8th at 7 p.m.. The Celebration of Life Service will be on follow at 8 p.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home located at 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, Arizona 85207.

Memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA in her name.
