Richard S. Goodrich, 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 31, 2017 while at The Desert House Assisted Living Facility in Mesa, AZ.
Born in
Ogden, Utah, Rich lived in several areas of California and spent the last eleven years in Apache Junction, Arizona.
He served in the US Air Force before retiring as a 20 year veteran of the US Navy, where he also served two tours in Korea and one tour in Vietnam. He was first a manager of an air craft corporation in Semi Valley, California, then Rich spent several years as a manager of multiple mobile home parks in California. In his younger years, Rich enjoyed traveling and was an avid golfer. More recently, he enjoyed trips to the Casino and playing Bingo.
He is the son of the later Vena Ransom and brother of the late Clark Goodrich and Gennene Hughes. Rich is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sylvia Goslin Goodrich; brother, Kent Goodrich and his wife Sandy of Springville, California; daughter, Vena Crivello Bybe and her husband, Jeff of Murrietta, California; eight step-children and their spouses, Charles Duggins and Theresa of Oregon, Cynthia Duggins of Riverside, California, Lorraine Duggins of Oregon, Crystal Story and Jim of Queen Creek, Arizona, Lea Ann Borromeo and Joseph of Nevada, Michael Tolerico and Susan of Raleigh, North Carolina, Theresa (Tee) Feminella of Hamilton, New Jersey, and Peggy Stover and John (JC) of Hamilton, New Jersey. Rich is also survived by many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Rich left a wonderful impression with everyone he met. He was known to be very generous and caring. He loved his family and home more than anything in the world.
