Allen H. Darrall born March 8, 1945, peacefully passed away into the loving arms of the Lord on December 11, 2016 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife Patricia Darrall, children/step-children Vicki Fogue (Pat), Amy Darrall, Matthew Darrall (Chelsea), Annette Wright (Shawn), and Victor Wahll (Meridee); sister, Joyce Wilson (Les), 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Al was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Harold and Sarah Darrall who have proceeded him in death. Al served in the U.S. Army and spent two tours in Vietnam, after which he served in the reserves in Ohio. He was a member of the Euclid Ohio Masonic Lodge and also a Noble of the Arizona El Zaribah Shrine Temple. Al loved playing drums and for many years was a member of a band, The Belvederes in Ohio. They played clubs, weddings and parties of all kinds. Al was a degreed mechanical engineer; he spent many years in the semi-conductor industry, working for Intel and finally retiring from ST Microelectronics, where he was a valued member of the facilities team.
Al will be remembered with love by family, friends, and co-workers for many years; long after retirement he was still a mentor to many of his engineering colleagues. So long Big A, a fantastic drummer and wonderful man. Cremation has taken place and interment is in the Wall of Peace on the west side of the Mountain View Cemetery.
A Celebration of Al’s life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017, 1:00pm at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, Arizona 85207. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the El Zaribah Shrine, 552 N 40th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008, Transportation Fund.

Al was my only sibling. The best brother anyone could have. He called me his Baby Sister. I will truly miss him and that special title. He was a superb drummer and followed my father in his talents of music. He was a great man. And I will miss him always. I LOVE YOU BIG. BROTHER
