He was the ninth child of twelve and dearly loved by his siblings and their posterity. The Tryon family lived in Fort Grant two years before moving to Tempe, Arizona in 1932. Louis graduated from Tempe Elementary School and Tempe Union High. He was drafted and served one year in the United States Army four years after World War II started. Louis and Louise worked together to raise and eternal family and they were selected as Mesa, Arizona Family of the Year in 1973. They served two missions for the LDS Church to Knoxville, Tennessee and San Francisco, California. This seemed to be a crowning joy for both who had served diligently in many positions in the Church. Louise passed away April 26, 1998. August 4, 2000, Louis married Madeleine Yvonne Talon Lee who had seven children. The Tryon children remember their Dad’s strong testimony, incredible work ethic, and tender heart. He would dance, sing, and was often on stage with Louise in leading roles. After milking cows, Louis loved to read the scriptures with his children and have family prayer. He wants each of his family to know that he loves them and loves the Savior, Jesus Christ. The world just lost a kind and loving man, but Heaven just gained a kind, loving, and faithful son of God. I’m glad I was blessed to know him.
