First of three children born to Dorothy and John Hair in Edwardsville, Illinois.
He married Norma Lee Frisby in December, 1950. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Worchester during the Korean War.
He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 1958 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
He started his career with the Bell Telephone System in 1958. He joined the Sprint Telephone System in 1965 from which he retired in 1988. He served as a salesman of telephone equipment for Northern Telecom until 1995.
Don and Norma moved to Mesa in 2002.
Family members who have gone before are his parents and his sister, Katherine.
Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Norma, brother Jim, children-sons Michael (Jill), and Patrick (Jodi). He was Grandpa to Dana Sanchez (Cesar), and Andrew, Thomas, Ben, Tucker, and Hanna Hair. His four great grandchildren are Jacob, Megan, Brandon, and Sophie.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 10:00 AM and the funeral will follow at 11:00 AM at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E. Main Street, Mesa, AZ.
