Betty Henningsen, 94, passed away on September 17, 2013 in her home in Mesa. She was born December 12, 1918 in Logansport, IN. She is preceded in death by her husband Carter M.W. Henningsen, in 1978 and is survived by her daughter Christine (Gene) Chaillie, son Carter (Linda) Henningsen, granddaughters: Ramona (Joe) Strait, Carmen Rinken, Pamela (Dante) Depanicis; grandsons Raymond Alvarez, Jr., Brian (Kathy) Henningsen, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson Bradley. Betty was an active member of the Greater Phoenix Deaf Senior Citizen and was voted Miss Deaf Senior of Arizona in 1993. She was also a member of the Red Mountain Senior Citizens. She worked for the US Postal Service for 20 years and retired in 1983 and moved to the Phoenix area. Memorial service to be scheduled at a later date.
