Ida Solazzo, 89, of Gold Canyon, AZ peacefully passed away from complications of pneumonia, surrounded by her family, on March 28, 2014. She was born in Chicago, IL and moved to Arizona in 1976 from Lake Forest, IL. Mrs. Solazzo was a member of St. George Catholic Church. Her loving husband Joseph P. Solazzo of 57 years preceded her in death in 2004. She is survived by her two children, son, Thomas J. (Susan) Solazzo of Bartlett, IL and daughter, Linda Solazzo of Gold Canyon, AZ, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren: Michael and (Abby) Solazzo and their sons, Benjamin and Andrew of St Charles, IL; Joseph J. Solazzo of South Elgin, IL; Lisa (Solazzo) and David DiRienzo and son Jack of South Elgin, IL; brother-in law and sister-in-law Frank and Josephine Solazzo of Wood Dale, IL; first cousins, Jackie and (Bob) Radeka of Mesa, AZ and Ann Rock of Mesa, AZ and all her loving nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 E. Main St. Mesa, AZ on Thursday, April 3, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St George Catholic Church, 300 E. 16th Ave. Apache Junction, AZ on Friday, April 4, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. with procession following to St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix, AZ
