Jacob Robert Jones, 25, of Mesa, AZ passed away Sunday September 7, 2014 in Mesa, AZ. Mr. Jones, a hazardous material technician, was born in Phoenix, AZ on September 9, 1988. Jacob, who was proud of his Cherokee heritage, played Varsity tennis at Skyline High School and was in the JROTC program. A four year veteran of the US Army, he served in Iraq with the 3rd Infantry Division. Jacob enjoyed drama, mini-trucks, motorcycles, camping and fishing. He was the beloved son of Brian and Jo Jones; he is also survived by his sisters Emma (Alex) Enabnit and Lillian, brother Nick, and grandparents Neysa Donato, John Shaffer, and Amy Mathis. Services will be at 1:00 pm Monday September 15, 2014 at Broadway Christian Church, 7335 E. Broadway Rd, Mesa, AZ. Memorials may be made to Christian Family Care, 3603 N. 7th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85013.
