John M. Kelemen, 67 passed away in his home with his family around him on Wednesday November 12, 2014. He is survived by his wife Gayle, his daughter Gayle Snible (Ed), his son John Kelemen (Laura Orsini), his mother Mary Kelemen and granddaughter Charlotte Snible. He sought mastery in many areas from bowling 300 point games to a hole in one at the golf course. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fly fisherman. After serving his country as a drummer in the Navy band he spent 25 years at the US Postal Service. Retirement led back to music with playing drums in a blues band. His love of life enriched all who encountered him. Memorials may be made in John’s honor to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
John’s smile, humor, and kindness will be dearly missed by family, friends, and postal family. We’re glad we were able to spend some time with John doing one of his favorite things….enjoying the great outdoors. John was always eager to pass along some helpful fly fishing tips and show the “rookies” how to catch trout. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you Gayle and the family and we hope that all of the great memories of John help get you through your times of sorrow.
Thank you Kevin and Joyce.
