Gloria Jean Warcup, 83, of Mesa, AZ, passed away Feb. 4, 2015, after a short illness. Born in Seattle, WA, Nov. 16, 1931, to parents, Lawrence and Goldie Simpier, she is predeceased by her parents and two brothers. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Warcup, her sister Dorothy Wood, and many nieces and nephews. Gloria graduated from Seattle’s Ballard High School in 1950. She had a long banking career beginning in 1950 with National Bank of Commerce (NBC) through its four mergers and then retiring from Bank of America in 1986. Gloria and her husband, John, were very active in the formation of the Sea Hawkers Booster Club in 1976. They were like two peas in a pod, “Never Apart”! They enjoyed spending vacations at their time-shares in Hawaii and Mazatlan, Mexico. Internment is at Evergreen-Washelli Memorial Park’s Columbarium in Seattle. She requested no services to be held. Gloria was greatly loved and will surely be missed.
