Dean L. Vang, 80, of Mesa, AZ passed away on July 13, 2020. Dean was born on February 25, 1940 in Marshall, Minnesota to Lester and Marguerite (Gullickson) Vang. Due to his father’s profession, they moved often during his younger years to different places in Minnesota. Dean graduated from Willmar High School, Willmar, MN in 1958. After graduation, he moved with his parents to Mason City, Iowa where he studied at Mason City Junior College and met Sharon Feld, his future wife. They were married at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City on November 11, 1962.

Dean was employed by J.C. Penney Co and Walgreens. The family moved often due to his retail career throughout the Midwest. Many long lasting friendships were made and cherished.

Dean was a loving, caring father to his three children: Scott of Chandler, AZ; Lynn (Mark) Cormier of Page, AZ and Todd (DeLynn) of Libertyville, IL.

In 1996, Dean and Sharon moved to Mesa, Arizona. Dean worked at his daughter’s embroidery business in Mesa as a digitizer before retiring in 2005. Dean was a very talented artist, which he would deny, and enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons and friends.

Dean is survived by his wife- Sharon of Mesa, his three children-Scott, Lynn and Todd. Also six grandchildren whom he loved and enjoyed very much-Kasey and Colin Cormier and Spencer, Jillian, Avery and Paige Vang. He is also survived by his twin brother, Dennis (Diana) of Dodge Center, MN and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Marguerite and his sister, Marilyn. A celebration of Dean’s Life will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, 1534 N Recker Rd, Mesa, on September 25, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. The streamed Mass can be watched by going to All Saints website – asccm.org or by going to the All Saints Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to go to All Saints Catholic Church or Sunshine Acres Childrens Home, 3405 N Higley Rd., Mesa, AZ 85215.
