William “Bill” Cline, 78, of Mesa, AZ went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 3, 2022. Bill was born in Hughes Springs and grew up in Texarkana. After Bill graduated high school, he attended University of Wyoming where he met his future wife. He then attended Colorado State University and received his PhD in Electrical Engineering. After graduating with his PhD, he worked for Bell Labs and AT&T in Naperville, IL. Bill spent 33 years in the industry and 12 years as a consultant. Bill traveled the world and received several patents for his work. Bill and his wife went on to have one son, and five grandchildren. In 2013, Bill retired from “work.” He was a Christ-follower and it showed in how he served others with his time and talents. Whether it was volunteering at church, the hospital, coaching baseball or doing projects with his son, completing honey-do lists for his wife, encouraging, spoiling and spending time with his grandchildren…he was never selfish with his time. Bill was preceded in death by both of his parents and 2 brothers. He is survived by his wife, sister, son, daughter-in-law, five grandchildren and other family near and far.
