On Friday, January 13, 2023, Mary Jane (Archuleta) German, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away at the age of 94 in Mesa, Arizona. She is survived by her 3 children Linda, Oscar, and Leroy (Debera); her grandchildren Richard (Mari Chu), Armando, Nike, Laila, Celia, William (Michelle), Anthony, and Kelly (Brett); her great grandchildren Armando Jr., Andres, Nike Jr., Amanda, Haley, Justin, Brody, Isabelle, and Brooklynne; her great-great grandchildren Willow and Brett. She is predeceased by her wonderful late husband, Wilbur German.
Mary was the first born of 14 children in Las Vegas, New Mexico on December 18th, 1928. She later moved to Topeka, Kansas to finish high school and join a religious order. There, she would complete high school and also her nurse’s training. Mary moved around a lot and called herself a “Busy Bee”. She met Wilbur in Denver, Colorado, and they married in December of 1948. They were wed for 61 years before he passed away in June of 2009. Mary once stated that “her most memorable experiences were when she spent time with family and friends dancing and traveling”. She loved to socialize with her family and friends, and she loved to learn.
We will miss our “Busy Bee” and all of the joy, courage, and love that she shared with us. Please join us in celebrating her life at the Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery at 7900 E. Main Street Mesa, AZ 85207 on February 4th at 1pm.
