In loving memory of Larry Cook Jr., 53, a resident of Mesa, AZ, who peacefully departed this world surrounded by his cherished loved ones on February 1, 2024, following a valiant and challenging battle against heart disease.

Larry entered this world on June 26, 1970, in Santa Cruz, CA, born to Loraine Wade and Larry Cook Sr. Larry’s legacy is one of love and warmth, survived by his mother, Loraine Wade, stepfather Lee Wade, sisters Leneya Perschka and Connie Wade, and brothers Marco Wade and Jason Cooks. Additionally, he is survived by his adored children: Talis, Akira, and Princess Cook. Larry’s unwavering devotion to his children was evident, as he often expressed that they meant more to him than anything else in the world. In addition to immediate family, Larry is survived by a host of extended family such has his beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, and close friends.
Larry found joy in simple pleasures such as sharing meals, watching movies with his family, and immersing himself in a diverse selection of music. He had a natural gift for conversation, weaving tales that brought joy, and his infectious laughter brightened the lives of those around him. Larry Cook will be fondly remembered for his generosity, love, laughter, and the lasting impact he had on the hearts of all who knew him.

A ceremony honoring the life of Larry R. Cook is scheduled for Friday, February 16, 2024. The viewing will begin at 12:00pm, followed by the service at 1:00pm. The event will take place at Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 7900 E. Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85207.
