Helen Louise Markovich, age 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on the morning of July 16th, 2024. She was born on March 2nd, 1929, to Alliene Locklar and Lawrence Logsdon in Harrisburg, IL. Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph Markovich. She is survived by her loving children Joey (Geli) Markovich, Vicki Fouch (Larry), and Susan (Bruce) Parker, as well as her five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many loving family members and friends.
Helen and Joseph raised their family in the Chicago area, creating cherished memories with friends and loved ones before retiring to Arizona 30 years ago. In Arizona, they built a beautiful life together, enjoying their retirement surrounded by family and friends. Known for her kind and social nature, Helen touched many lives with her generosity and resilience. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and offer comfort to those in need. Helen was deeply involved in her community, active in social groups, a dedicated church member, and a passionate volunteer for causes close to her heart.
A service to celebrate Helen’s life will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home (7900 East Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85207) on Tuesday, July 23rd at 2:00 PM, followed by a reception at her home (8215 E. Monterey Ave. Mesa, AZ 85209). Helen will be remembered fondly for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her legacy of generosity and compassion will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. While her presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched
