It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, sister and mother, Rani Jean White. She bravely battled cancer three times and finally succumbed on August 18, 2024, at the age of 66.
Born on February 20, 1958 in Altus Oklahoma, Rani mostly grew up in Dallas Texas. She had a successful career in accounting and later in real estate investing. She met the love of her life, Scott, in 2005, and they were married for 12 years.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and her kindness and love touched everyone who knew her. She was fiercely independent and was a very private person. Friends and family knew her as someone who would do anything for them.
Rani loved traveling and camping. Rani and Scott enjoyed many visits to San Carlos Mexico and Las Vegas Nevada early in their time together and later she loved taking the trailer to many sites around Arizona and as far away as Idaho. Her favorite place to camp was Dead Horse Ranch in Cottonwood Arizona. Rani and Scott also enjoyed their condo on the beach in St. Croix, USVI. They would sight-see and loved spending time at the pool with their close friends there. Her kindness, compassion, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Rani is survived by her husband, Scott, her children Justin and Cody, her grandchildren Caleb, Graham, Kellen and Blakely. She is also survived by Scott’s children Brian and Stacy and Scott’s grandchildren Aiden and Madison, all of whom she loved as her own. Rani is also survived by her brother Grant.
Rani is preceded in passing by her father and mother, David Eugene Smith and Barbara Blaine Smith and her brother Gregg Wade Smith.
The funeral service will be held on Monday August 26, 2024 at 10 AM at Mountain View Funeral Home in Mesa, Arizona.
Rani will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Rest in peace, dear wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
