Jean Ann (Bunting) Greathouse, age 81, passed away on Sunday December 22nd, 2024 in Mesa, Arizona. She was born on October 21st, 1943 in Barnesville, Ohio to Roy and Zedna (Boyd) Bunting. Jean Ann was a 1961 graduate of Barnesville High School. After graduation, she attended the Ohio State School of Cosmetology and received her license and opened up Jean Ann’s Beauty Shop in Barnesville, Ohio for six years. After developing allergies, she moved with her family to Arizona in 1974 where she obtained her degree from Northland Pioneer College. She started teaching Business/Office Education on the White Mountain Apache Reservation in Whiteriver, Arizona, which she very much enjoyed and made lasting friendships. She became the Campus Operations Manager for Northland Pioneer College in Show Low, Arizona and stayed in that position for over 15 years until she decided to retire and become a full-time grandma in 1998. She is preceded in death by her father, Roy Bunting, her mother, Zedna (Boyd) Bunting, and her brother, James Bunting. She is survived by her 3 children; Allen Greathouse, Lisa Daniel and Dain Greathouse, her 9 grandchildren, her 18 great grandchildren, and her beloved dog Brutus. She was a kind and loving person and will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all that knew her.
