Christopher Brian Deadrick, known to everyone as Chris, passed away on April 3, 2026, at the age of 40 in Mesa, Arizona. Born on June 1, 1985, in St. Louis, Missouri, Chris lived a life full of laughter, love, and genuine connection with the people around him.

Chris had a way of making friends wherever he went. He was the kind of guy who could walk into a room full of strangers and leave with a handful of new buddies, probably after cracking one of his famously inappropriate jokes that somehow always landed just right. He never took himself too seriously, and that easygoing nature drew people to him effortlessly.

In November 2018, Chris married the love of his life, Rachel Laney Deadrick. He was a devoted husband and an amazing father to his daughter, Holly, and his son, Kade. If Chris wasn’t hanging out with his kids, you could usually find him striving for bogey golf or playing with his dogs, Duke and Archer. Duke held a special place in Chris’s heart as his very best friend, and anyone who knew Chris knew that bond was something real.

Chris is survived by his wife, Rachel Laney Deadrick; his daughter, Holly Deadrick; his son, Kade Deadrick; his parents, Robert B. Deadrick and Debbie Deadrick; his brother, Robert A. Deadrick; his sister, Wendy Curran; his nieces, Catarina Deadrick, Ariel Deadrick, and Faith Curran; and his nephew, Gavin Curran. He leaves behind a family that loved him deeply and a circle of friends that stretched far and wide.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by services at 11:00 am at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85207. A reception will follow at 7255 E Portobello Ave, Mesa, AZ 85212. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Chris’s life. The dress code is casual.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant a tree in Chris’s honor. You can do so here: https://www.thegiftedtree.com/gift-tree-tribute-presentation-options/. It seems like the perfect way to remember a guy who made the world a little brighter just by being in it.
