Carson William Mauterer was born October 14 ,2005 in Scottsdale AZ. Carson went to be with the Lord on April 20, 2026.
Carson grew up in Mesa Arizona where he graduated from Red Mountain High School with the class of 2024. Carson was a member of the Red Mountain High School Football team where he was a 3-year varsity player. Carson accumulated recognition as a standout linebacker and defensive end while also having significant contributions as a running back, punter and kicker.
Carson received numerous offers to play football at the collegiate level and received an athletic scholarship to play football at Western New Mexico University. Carson played for a season before a back injury cut his time short as a collegiate football player. After Western New Mexico University Carson was a student at Mesa Community College. Carson loved to compete and loved the game of football but more importantly he cherished the brotherhood bonds that were formed with his teammates.
Carson enriched the lives of so many people through his short 20 years of life. Those who met him fell in love with his smile, beautiful personality, gentleness, and kind heartedness. Carson put those around him first and always made your day brighter with relentless acts of selflessness and just making you feel loved and happy. He always made sure to pay attention to little details, yet to him, they were never so little. Carson was the most ambitious person anyone has ever met. Whatever he said he was going to do he did, whether it was traveling or planning out his and Presley’s next steps of their lives together, he just did it; and he did it with that blinding smile and without a doubt in his mind.
Carson will be forever remembered by his parents Billy and Apryl, his brother Keeler and his fiancé, Breana Enriquez, and the love of his life Presley Leanne Hicks, and her entire family.
The celebration of Carson’s life will be held Saturday April 25th at Mountain View Funeral and Cemetery located at 7900 E Main St. Mesa AZ 85208. Viewing will be at 12:00 followed by the service at 1:00 and burial at 2:00.
