Katherine Lynn Petticrew

May 30, 1991 to October 9, 2026

It is with our deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our precious Katie Lynn.

Miss Katie Petticrew 35, recently of Parker, CO and formerly of Mesa, AZ, went to be with Jesus October 9 at St Joseph’s Hospital in Denver, CO.

Miss Petticrew was born in Phoenix, AZ on May 30, 1991 with considerable medical challenges. With God’s grace and prayer from coast to coast, she beat the odds and grew up in Apache Junction, AZ.  She graduated from Apache Junction High School and later took classes at Central Arizona Community College. Her main areas of interest were Anatomy and Physiology, Art and Cooking.

She spent much of her time managing her medical needs; ordering supplies and administering her many respiratory treatments and medications. Together with her team, (Mom and her nurses), she successfully endured many storms throughout her life with courage and strength and was an inspiration to all that worked with her. This vigilance was blessed by enabling her to enjoy 35 years of life with her family and friends. Her medical professionals became treasured friends for years.

A builder and sculptor, she was exceptional at art, 3D puzzles, and LEGO, assembling complex dimensional forms and worlds that not only brought her immense joy but were reflective of her innate talents. Dixie, her beloved pup, was often curled up around her lap while she worked. She was also a loyal collector, surrounding herself with treasured stories that filled her life with magic.  Scooby Doo, How to Train Your Dragon, Corpse Bride, Tangled, and Nightmare Before Christmas were some of her particular favorites.

Katie will be remembered for her sharp wit, delightful sense of humor, and incredible kindness.  It is a rare gift to be able to face physical and medical challenges with humor and grace, but she had it in spades! She is survived by her parents, Keith and Nancy Petticrew of Parker, her sister and her family, Jill, Justin and Harper Boots also of Parker and her brother, Daniel Petticrew of Apache Junction, AZ.

The services for Miss Kate will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home at
