Andrea Jean Borg (Billy), 75, left her earthly home, in Mesa, Arizona, to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 17, 2021.

Andrea was born on November 13, 1945 in Cleveland, OH to Anne (Andrijowski) and John Billy.  She grew up in Akron, OH, and attended Ohio State University for her undergraduate degree and University of Hawaii for her graduate degree.  Andrea dedicated her life to inspiring young minds throughout her 40 years of teaching; retiring as a sophomore English teacher and Speech and Debate coach in 2010 from St. Johns High School, St. Johns, Arizona.

Andrea will be remembered as a woman of God – strong in her Catholic faith, a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes Fan, a lover of all animals, particularly her grandpups and the many dogs that blessed her throughout her life, a Triple Crown horse racing enthusiast, a music fanatic who enjoyed attending concerts with her children, a “professional” bargain hunter who enjoyed shopping, a gifted counted cross-stitcher who created countless pieces of artwork for her friends and family, and a prolific reader. Most importantly, though, Andrea will be remembered as a doting grandmother who loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren.

Andrea was proceeded in death by her parents John and Anne Billy and sister Nadine Billy.  She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Donald – Mesa, AZ, step-daughter Lynn Olson (Richard) – Minneapolis, MN, son Shane Borg (Lindsay) – Gilbert, AZ, daughter Heather Morrell (Chris) – Peoria, AZ, grandchildren Sarah, Ryan, Ian, and Evan, brothers Steve Billy and John (Kathryn) Billy, sister Yvonne (Patrick) Weidner, and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Memorial services will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery, in Mesa, AZ, on May 21, 2021 at 1:00 pm.  A reception will be held following the memorial at the Borg home in Mesa, AZ.
