Andrew M. Estes Sr., 64, of Maricopa City, passed away on January 11, 2022. He was born in Camp Pendleton, CA on March 3, 1957, and raised in Mesa, AZ. He was the son of William Mariada Estes and Wynona Rae Estes.
Andrew was a simple man that dedicated his life to family, church, and aviation communities. He served the Lord, worked hard every day, said what he meant and meant what he said. Andrew was always there when you needed advice or a swift kick in the butt. He continually worked hard to serve others to ensure their success. Andrew loved his Wife like Jesus loved the church. He portrayed humility, gentleness, and compassion to everyone he encountered. Andrew was a true “Aviator” who loved the heavens and walked in his unwavering Christian faith. He lived his life to the fullest by keeping his feet firmly planted on the ground while keeping his head in the clouds.
Andrew is survived by his wife of 46 years Virginia Arlene Estes, three children Tina Marie Brack, Andrew Mariada Estes Jr., and Joy Arlene Pfeil and nine grandchildren Falicity, Richard, Devin, Fin, Tatum, Kahlyn, Ridley, Aylee, and Lochlen.
A memorial service will be held at Pilgrim Lutheran Church and School in Mesa, AZ on January 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at 11:00 a.m.
The family would like to thank the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and all the wonderful people who kept Andrew in prayer, held us up, supported us, donated time, and energy, and just encouraged us through this difficult time.
As Andrew would say “Peace be with you.”
If Roses grow in Heaven Lord
Please pick a bunch for me
Place them in my Brothers arms
And tell him they are from me
Tell him that I love and miss him
And when he turns to smile
Place a kiss upon his cheek
And hold him for awhile
Because remembering him is easy
I do it every day
But there is an ache within my heart
That will never go away
In Living Memory of my Brother
Andrew M Estes
Amen
God Speed Andrew… I’ll miss your smile and sage advice around the airfield. Thanks for sharing your vast aviation knowledge.
