Arnold and Mary Jo are our summer neighbors on the Menominee River. Arnold enjoyed life. He fished when he could, took care of a large river view yard and was the Mayor of our Road Commission. Often times you would find Arnold exercising from a previous winter surgery. He was always in shape, put most of we younger folk to shame. We looked forward to May when we would look over and see the lights on and knew summer had begun as our wonderful neighbors were back. The WI summers were not Mary Jo’s favorite but she supported Arnold’s love of the river and we became fast friends as well. We so miss our great neighbors and will miss Arnold’s common sense and humor. Our love goes out to Mary Jo and family.

  2. Kirsten Plambeck says:

We had the pleasure of knowing Arnold for a brief time as we brought personalized music on MP3 players to Brookdale Mesa residents. He LOVED and sang along to Johnny Cash and Kenny Rogers. We even loaded some John Wayne sound bites on there for him. Arnold was always so friendly and always smiling as he listened to his music. We will miss him – Prayers for your family in this difficult time~

  3. Richard & Penny Gachter says:

Dick and Arnold were good friends and we will miss him. Prayers to the family during this time. Our thoughts are with you.

  4. Kathy Kakuschke says:

We spent many summers at Pilgrims Campgrounds with Arnie and Mary and had some great times and many wonderful memories. Sam, Armie,Bert and Joe would sit for hours around the campfires trying to solve the world problems. I’m sure Arnie and Sam are reminiscing now with a refreshment in hand. You and the boys have my deepest sympathy.

  5. Rachel and Frenchy says:

We have known Arnold several years as friends/neighbors in Mesa. It was hard to watch him struggle but admired his “fight”. He is at peace now. Love, Rachel and Frenchy
