So very sorry for your loss.
So glad that he and dad (Vernon) got to talk with one another.
You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
I wish I could be there.

  2. Woodie Hurt says:

I love you Arthur! I just wish we would have got to see more of each other through the years! No more pain and no more suffering! Never forget you! Fly high cousin!

  3. Janie Burkett says:

So sorry to hear the news. I met Art at Baptist hospital in Nashville TN. When he and his brother Larry flew in to be with their Uncle J.D. Hurt when he had a right brain major stroke. Enjoyed Art & Larry so much when they were here. The seven years I took care of his Uncle J.D. I talked to him many times over the phone. He loved his family so much. I sent him a CD that I had recorded and he called me his Southern Belle. He wore it out and I sent him another one. My prayers are with Jan and the children and his Mother Sue and Larry his brother. Asking the Lord to give you peace and comfort during this very difficult time. Love all of you very much.

  4. Mlee Clark, LMT says:

I had the pleasure of knowing Arthur and working with him recently for several weeks trying to ease the discomfort of his pain. I like to call him “Red” because he reminded me of Red Skelton, always joking, teasing and trying to make light of his situation. He tried to be upbeat and yet I felt he was a joy to be around even when he was in pain and would try to play it off with teasing. I loved his smiles and how he teased but he had a warm spirit and always said how much he loved his wife, Janet. He wanted to be taking care of her instead of her taking care of him. He was one of those individual that had such a sweet spirit that Arthur really touched my heart. I will truly miss him from the bottom of my heart. Red, may your pain be a thing of the past and may God hold you gently in his hands with all his love. Fly high Red.

  5. Allan Anderson says:

Yep , Art had a good sense of humor and always a ready smile. Always willing to give a helping hand when one was needed.
