Barbara was one of the most caring people I know who touched many, many lives. She was a great employee, who went above and beyond, and without her, I would have never learned my job. I didn’t think there would be a sadder day as when she retired from Mesa Public Schools, but now my heart breaks for losing such a dear friend. I am going to miss her tremendously.
Jay, Alicia and Mark, may God bring you comfort and strength at this difficult time. I know Barb loved you all tremendously. She shared many wonderful stories about you all and was very proud of her family.
My deepest sympathies to Barbara’s family. She was such a wonderful, kind, generous woman. She was my ‘go to’ person at MPS and was always willing and able to help. She will be sincerely missed!

Eternal rest grant her, God, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
My sincerest condolences. I so enjoyed working with Barbara at Mesa Schools and sharing stories of our pets. She will be greatly missed.
I’m one of the many people here at MPS, that benefited from Barb’s selfless, kind, caring ways. When I first came to MPS, it was Barb that went out of her way to welcome me. I will always look back and remember her consistently cheerful disposition, her sense of humor, and her willingness to help in any way she could. The world has lost a wonderful woman. I’m thankful to have known her.
Alicia, Jon and all of your family, we are so very sorry for the loss of your beloved Mom. Our thoughts are with you and we send prayers for comfort during this difficult time. May Barbara rest in loving eternal peace.
To Jay, Alicia, Mark and the rest of your family – I’m so sorry and my heart aches for your loss. Your mom and I graduated from high school together and were room mates for a time when we both worked for Pacific Telephone in Fresno. I’ll never forget her or all of you. Just last week I found photos of Alicia, Mark, and my daughter Caryn, hunting for Easter eggs! We shared many beautiful memories and lots of laughter. Barbara was truly a kind, generous, and loving, helpful woman who will be forever missed in this world.
Barbara was an amazing Lady. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with her before she retired from Mesa Public Schools. She was always there for me throughout my years working in the Bookstore at Stapley Jr. High. I knew when I called Barb in a panic that everything would be OK. She took the time to explain things patiently and gave me encouragement & confidence. And I loved her sassy sense of humor. To the Family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Barbara will be greatly missed.
I’m Barbara’s cousin{1st}. As children her and I grew up together. I talked to her on a weekly/monthly basics. We have always been very close. I worked with Barbara at Mesa Schools. She was so highly respected and appreciated by all who knew her. I tried to talk her into staying after she announced her retirement, but she knew best that it was time. Barbara loved her family and clearly had her priorities right. My thoughts and prayers are for Barbara’s family and friends at this difficult time.
Thank you all for sharing your memories and kind words. It means a lot to myself and my family. Love and blessings to you all.
I thank our Lord for give me the gift to know you Barbara, you were that soul with a bright smile that embraced me every time that I talked to you. Keep praying for me and all of us to see you in heaven.

Barb was one of a kind. So helpful while I was working at MPS, always took the time to help you find answers to questions. Loved to hear her talk about the family she loved so much. Wish her peace and to be free from pain. Love you Barb

Jay and family –
Barb was very special to me as she welcomed me to the MPS family first when she worked at Kino, then at Student Activities. She was a dedicated co-worker and special friend who I will miss very much. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you grieve for her. I will be with you in spirit for her service this morning as I am in Montana. We were all blessed to have her in our lives.
I met Barb when I started working at Red Mountain High School. I was to be in charge of accounts for Activities and Athletics. Without Barb coming to the school, for an entire week to teach me all the ins and outs, I don’t believe I would have survived! She was so patient and caring with me, and through out all the years I spent at Red Mountain. She never stopped teaching nor explaining, and I knew that if ever I didn’t understand something as to why, what, where….she would have the right answer. God Bless Her and welcome her to His Glory; she was a wonderful, caring person. May God give your family strength to get through this time, but know that she was very much loved by all she helped.
