Berislav “Barry” Sepic, age 65, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 27th, 2020, at home in Phoenix, Arizona.  Barry was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020.

Born October 31st, 1955, in Karlovac, Croatia to parents Kazimir and Ana Sepic, Barry lived his early years in Croatia with his parents and sister Vesna.  The journey to live the American Dream and take a leap of faith took them to the United States, where they resided in Chicago, Illinois.

Barry graduated from Marquette University in Wisconsin, with a Master’s Degree in Engineering.  Barry went on to practice engineering at workplaces, including Underwriters Laboratories.  After years of appreciating his education had taken him to many levels, Barry’s entrepreneurial spirit led him on a different course, and he never turned back.

Barry and his wife of 35 years, Georgia, worked tirelessly and consistently to establish a number of businesses in the past decades in Illinois, Wisconsin, Colorado, and Arizona, all while engaged in the ownership and management of their own properties, for the benefit of their families and other families.

If you met Barry, you instantly could feel his passion for making a difference, personally and professionally.  He was his authentic self, always looking to connect with others in his fields of interest to get a sense of meaning out of life.  Barry spoke what was on his mind – the “idea man.”  He went thru life this way – shower those around him with the gift how to use creativity, guiding and inspiring on their own paths.  Heaven is lucky to have Barry – we were all blessed to know him.

Barry is survived by his wife Georgia, son Christopher and daughter-in-law, Catherine, daughter Anna, son Erik, grandchildren Kazimir and Iskra, mother Ana, sister Vesna, his nieces Daniella and Gabriella, and countless friends.  Barry is preceded in death by his father Kazimir.

A celebration of Barry’s life will be held in Phoenix on Wednesday, December 30th, 2020 at 9AM at the Mountain View Funeral & Cemetery (7900 E Main St in Mesa).  A prayer service will be planned at a later time at Barry’s final resting place in Chicago.
