Beverly Lorraine Scott, 88, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 in Mesa, AZ.

The youngest of three children, she was born on July 20, 1931 in St. Cloud, MN to Raymond and Catherine (Mitchell) Sweet. On Dec 17, 1967 she married George Scott, blending two families into one large one. They both loved to travel and took their large, loud, happy family on lots of road trips in the family station wagon.

Beverly was a US Postal supervisor for over 25 years. She spent many years in San Diego, California, then retired to Arizona. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and needle crafts and was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star for many years. She had a  lifelong love for reading and learning.  Whether earning a degree while raising a family, learning new trades, or teaching herself a new craft or hobby, she was always trying to better herself and left quite an example for her family to follow.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Brothers Ellis Sweet and Veyrl Sweet; Husband, George Scott; Sons, Gordon Kiphuth and Arthur Myron; Daughters,  Linda Kiphuth Lomker and Deborah Scott Kendall; and Daughter-in-law Michelle Myron.

She is survived by her children, Gerald Kiphuth, Sandra Kiphuth, Leroy Kiphuth (Chantelle), William Kiphuth (Elaine), Catherine Hanson Heard, Joyce Scott Cowel (Rick), George Scott (Jolene), and Donny Scott as well as sons-in-law Bruce Lomker and Rod Kendall. Her incredible legacy includes 28 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, and 16 great, great-grandchildren. She was extremely loved, extremely blessed, extremely joyful.

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful people who kept Beverly in prayer, held us up, supported us, and just encouraged us through this difficult time.

There will be a private scattering of her ashes at a future date.
