Bruce Lowell Kappele of Sun Lakes, Arizona passed peacefully at the Lund Family Hospice Home on Sunday, August 25th, 2024 at the age of 86. He was born the son of the late Eleanor and Arthur Sydney Kappele of Cleveland, Ohio on December 8th, 1937. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Arthur Kappele and Dohn Kappele, both of Cleveland, Ohio.
Bruce was of Christian faith with no denomination, but had complete faith in his God. He leaves behind his closest and dearest companion, Dennis Washington of Sun Lakes, Arizona, and his six children, Deborah Sutton of Middleburg, Florida, Susie Sutton of Georgetown, Florida, Scott Kappele of Poway, California, Kelly Tilghman of Queen Creek, Arizona, Chris Kappele of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Brian Kappele of Saint Augustine, Florida, and all of their families.
Bruce was a passionate leader and business man and devoted himself to an extensive career in the graphic arts/printing industry where he was the highly respected owner and president of Spiral Binding Company in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Bruce’s other passion was family. He was a loving and deeply caring father who treasured his six children beyond description. Bruce retired in 2006 and enjoyed studying genealogy. He was able to discover his family tree of more than 4400 people, spanning generations all the way back to 1590 in Switzerland.
Bruce was an incredibly generous man and enjoyed helping others. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to either of his preferred charities, Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
Bruce, friend, partner, father, and grandfather – we will miss you dearly and love you eternally.
