Cecile Marie Jones, daughter of Raymond Fred Cole and Helen Jean Trimble, was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin on June 27, 1945. Cecile passed away at the Brookdale Chandler Regional Senior Living Center in Chandler, Arizona on June 4, 2022, at the age of 76.
Cecile grew up in Wisconsin before moving to northern Arizona with her mother, father, two brothers and sister in 1953. She later relocated to the Scottsdale, Arizona area with her father and stepmother Crystal Marie (Worrell) Cole. There she met her husband of 46 years, Medway Dean Jones of Scottsdale and they were married on December 20, 1963, in a small chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Cecile’s passion was horses, and she took immense pleasure in caring for her own horse while taking long rides in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area when she was younger and continuing to ride into adulthood. She also took great joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish Cecile’s memory are her son David Jones and wife Maren; her daughter Deanna (Jones) De Le Ree and husband George; her brothers Fritz Cole and Ron Cole; her grandchildren Justin, Jayson, Keith, and Kevin De Le Ree, Patrick Jones, Shanda (Dean) Bogle, Taylin Dean, and Dakota Dean; her eight great-grandsons and great-granddaughters; and many nieces, nephews, and family throughout Arizona.
Preceding Cecile in death were her husband Dean, father Ray, mother Helen, step-mother Chris, sister Jean, step-brother Bill, and nieces Alison and Nicole.
A private memorial is planned for a later date. Cecile will be interred at the Show Low Cemetery in Show Low, Arizona with her husband and many other family members who have passed before.
