I never heard a word spoken about him that did not include love, integrity, and respect. My heart is filled with the knowledge the he loved well and was loved so very much in return. Condolences to you all.
Chuck was a good man, a hard worker and lucky in love. He will be missed by family and life-long friends. I know he has been welcomed into the Kingdom, solace to those who remain behind.

Rest In Peace Uncle Chuck. You will never be forgotten .
Thoughts and prayers to the family
“What we have once enjoyed we can never lose;
All that we love deeply, becomes a part of us.”
(From Helen Keller)
A tremendous loss for all who knew him. He was a great Uncle — a great friend to my Dad — a great brother to my Mom & his sisters — and a great Dad / Grandfather.
He had a good sense of humor. I enjoyed every moment he was with us — camping trips, fishing, hunting and of course picking pickles (well not that). His suffering is over now and we are all better for knowing him.
Dan Heminger (Nephew – Washington DC)
Grandpa Chuck always balanced kindness and honesty without trying. He was loyal and loving, making sure to take care of his family at all times, even during his own terminal illness. It was easy to be yourself around him, because that was how he was, accepting of others without a second thought. He accomplished everything that he planned, working hard and efficient in a way that few of us ever achieve.
He was so wonderful that we could only borrow him for awhile. Our hearts break with bittersweet gratitude.
We have not known Charlie for very many years but we considered him a good friend. We have spent geocaching trips with him and Susie. He has been our guide on many guadding trips into the mountains. He always got us back to his and Virginias home in Queen Creek. We will be in AZ so will be able to attend his memorial. We look forward to meeting his family.
Chuck was the best brother ever. He was always there for me and we had a lot of great times together. I will miss him greatly!
:'(
I miss you.
You were the best man I ever knew. You were my first best friend, and I don’t take for granted all the time I got to spend with you. Your life was such an adventure & you got everything you wanted out of it. So, even through the heartache & tears we find it easy to smile & celebrate you.
Thank you for everything that you were. It’s amazing to hear how many people’s lives you’ve touched.
I love you too <3
I always had a good time with Uncle Chuck. He was always in a good mood and laughed often. I’ll never forget the times I got to work with him loading seed or driving the tractors. We got the job done and had fun doing it. I loved that. I always had a great deal of respect for him as a sportsman and a man. I am proud he was my uncle. The world lost a great man but we all know he is in a far, far better place.
