Cinthia Eileen (Kasel) Berggren, 48

Cinthia Eileen (Kasel) Berggren age 48, of Gilbert, AZ, passed away at home after a courageous battle with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) on February 25, 2017.

Cinthia was born December 15, 1968 in Red Wing, MN, and raised in Hastings, MN, to her parents Wyman and Mary (Deschene) Kasel. She graduated from Hastings High School, Class of 1987, graduated from Inver Hills Community College with an Associate of Arts Degree in 1990, and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 1994, with a double major in Computer Systems and Mathematics, and a minor in Athletic Coaching. Cinthia was employed by the Minneapolis, MN office of Express Scripts Pharmaceutical for 19 years, serving as a Senior Software Engineer before her illness. She retired from the U.S. Army Reserves in 2007 as a SSG E6 after serving 21 years.

On May 7, 1994, Cinthia and Todd Berggren were united in marriage, in Hastings, MN.

Cinthia is survived by husband Todd, children Andrea, Kaitlin and Alexander, three grandchildren Elijah, Jayla and Noah, mother Mary Kasel, brother John (Wanda) Kasel, three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wyman Kasel and her grandparents.

Arrangements and visitation at Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 Main St., Mesa, AZ., March 5, 2017, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Services will be held March 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Love of Christ Lutheran Church, 1525 N. Power Rd, Mesa, Az. Private burial at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.

    Hard to believe that she could be gone. My strongest, clearest memory of her is her laugh. Cindi’s faith served her well. She is more than OK.
