Clyde Joseph Harmon 87, born on April 10, 1928 in Mesa, AZ, continued his spiritual  journey  on Thursday, March 31, 2016. Clyde was preceded by
his father, Clyde Charles Harmon, his mother Thora Lee Rogers-Harmon. Clyde was married to former wife  Katherine Susanna Costner-Harmon in the L.D.S. Mesa Temple had eight children Curtis, Kristy, Susan, Russell, Jeanine, Lori, Marcy and Greg, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren,  Clyde is survived by his brother John Keith Harmon and his sister Linda Harmon-Hollenbeck.

Clyde served most of his younger years serving in various positions in the Mormon  Church.  Clyde will always be remembered for  The Harmon Fruit stand on Val Vista, which was frequented by many generations of Mesa residents.  He was an activist for Constitutional Rights.  His  life long  passion was country dancing and working his garden in Young Arizona. Clyde will be forever missed and treasured in the hearts of all his children, grandchildren, friends, and his loving partner and companion of the past 11 years, Carol Bernes. Clyde received exceptional and compassionate care from the Allegiant Hospice in Mesa, AZ and his funeral service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home located at 7900 East Main Street in Mesa, AZ 85207.

    Dad, we well surely miss you. We love you. You have been a pillar in our lives. Its difficult because you were so strong and healthy, no medical problems then suddenly you were afflicted. It is hard to believe you are gone.

    My Father was an honest man, never stole anything from any one, he was kind and loving to all of us kids and grandkids, he worked hard for everything, he was a rightous man and Father/grandfather.
    Clyde loved to work i the garden and he taught me everything i know about gardening i only wish i could have learned everything, i loved spending time with my Dad, Happy Fathers Day1 i hope wherever you are that you are happy. I miss you Dad I love you You are awesome and I know you loved all of us kids.
