David was born in Washington, D.C. From the time David was a baby his mother called him “Bunker”. At 8th grade David attended Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Prep School in Middletown, Delaware. Besides getting a very exceptional education, he make valuable friends who are still in contact today.
David then went to Las Angeles, California to attend Occidental College. After graduation he worked for Pacific Telephone, where he met and married his wife of 54 years, Daine.
In 1974, David and Diane moved to Phoenix, Arizona and started their family; Rhett was born in 1976 and daughter, Kelly, in 1978.
David had a very successful career with Schlumberger Technology, retiring in 2000.
David loved to travel and play golf. A highlight was playing Pebble Beach with his son, Rhett. David was a wonderful family man and dear friend to many. He was always the “life of the party”. He could remember the names and faces of everyone he met. He will be missed by many. David was always a champion for the underdog.
David is survived by his wife, Diane, son, Rhett, daughter Kelly and husband Hubert, his sister, Nini Walker, grandchildren Sophia, Laker, Grace, and Alexis
