Dixie Lee Coules, a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 24th, 2024, at the age of 83. She was born in Iowa on July 2nd, 1941. Dixie lived in Hacienda Heights, California, and retired in Arizona.
She was the oldest of 5 children. Dixie is survived by her mother, Pauline Davis, her brother Jerry Davis (Barbara), her sister, Shelly Grissom (Martin), her daughter, Deena Zymkowitz (Phil Piccolo) and son, Michael Coules (Debbie). Dixie’s legacy lives on in her 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 15 nieces and nephews, 21 great nieces and nephews, and 4 great great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Ferrel Davis; daughters, Debbie Rycraft and Angela Coules(Gary); husband, John Coules; brothers, Duane Davis and Robert Davis; niece, Bobby Davis and nephew, Jeff Davis.
Dixie was a woman of class and impeccable taste, with a soul that was as vibrant as the elegant interior designs she created in her clients and loved ones’ homes. In her earlier years, Dixie owned Di-Jon Enterprises.
Family was the most important thing to Dixie. She taught us manners and expected us to be well-behaved while loving us unconditionally.
Dixie’s faith was also very important in her life. She was a member of Gold Canyon Methodist Church. We are at peace knowing we have another angel looking over us, she’ll remain forever in our hearts.
A graveside ceremony will be held on December 6, 2024 at 2:30 pm at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E Main Street, Mesa, Az 85207.
