Doreen Drabek was my very first friend in Arizona. I met her in 1952 when we both attended the 7th grade at Williams Air Force Base schools. I remember I used to ride my bike to her house outside the gate, meet up, and give her a ride on the handlebars back to the classroom. She hadn’t learned how to ride a bike yet so it was my turn.
I left Arizona for years and just today learned of her passing.
