Dorothy Mae (nee Kmet) Clifford was born in Phillips, Wisconsin, and graduated from the Phillips High School in 1954. She married Ralph Clifford in

1966 after they met while both worked at General Motors in Chicago. Together, they lived in Flint, Michigan, St. Louis; Wausau, Wisconsin; and made their final move to Mesa, Arizona in 1994. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her parents, Emil and Anne (Sopocy) Kmet; sister, Judy (John) Kozak; and brother, Emil Kmet, Jr. She is survived by her sisters, Eileen (Charles) Kosina and Betty (Edward) Polacek; and many nieces and nephews. She will be interred in the V.A. National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, with her husband. Dorothy will be remembered as a strong-willed and independent woman with a love for reading, working on puzzles and family genealogy. Mountain View Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
