Ed Hall, age 64, passed on unexpectedly on December 4, 2017. Ed was born in Tucumcari New Mexico to Ralph and Charlotte Hall. He graduated from Widefield High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado and went on to live most of his adult life in Vashon Washington, Palm Springs California and most recently Mesa Arizona. Ed earned his Associates of Applied Science in Addiction and Substance Abuse Disorders from Rio Salado College in 2010 and his Associates of Applied Science in Advanced Behavioral Science from Glendale Community College in 2015. He was close to earning his Bachelors Degree in Applied Science from that same institution.

In addition to his interests in the health profession, Ed was an expert craftsman and worked as an independent contractor in the building trade. While living on Vashon Island he hand- built a beautiful home to share with his wife Basha. Most recently his knowledge and skill was shared as a sales specialist at Home Depot in Mesa Arizona where his hard work and enthusiasm resulted in him being recognized as employee of the month and employee of the year.

Ed was known as a very spiritual, kind, and compassionate person, and was much loved by all that came in contact with him. He was a sincerely caring person and was always ready and willing to help others in need. Following his spiritual quest he traveled to Nepal, Tibet, and India and was deeply influenced by Tibetan Buddhism. In his leisure, Ed found joy in camping and fishing and often spoke of his love of the outdoors, which was ignited by early family camping trips in the Jemez Mountains of New Mexico.

Survived by his mother Charlotte Williams, Ed was a loving and devoted son and was contemplating relocating to Los Lunas, New Mexico so he could be closer to her. He is also survived by his brother, Randy and Jackie Hall of San Angelo, Texas; step-son Krys and Nicole and grandchildren Lily and Nico Korziniowski of Carlsbad, California; brother–in- law, Joseph (Stas) Korziniowski of Chico, California; half- sister, Sandra Williams of Tucson, Arizona; aunt, Sandra Carlson of Tucumcari, New Mexico; cousins, Alicia, Suzie, Christy, and their families of New Mexico; Dr. Stanislaw and Hanna Korziniowski of Chicago, Illinois; and best friend, Elaine Gordon of Mesa, Arizona. Ed was preceded in death by his wife Basha; father, Ralph E. Hall; step-father, James Williams; half-sister, Sherry Fannell; uncle, Joe Carlson; grandparents, Bud and Madelyn Carlson; and grandparents, Ralph and Hazel Hall.

    Dearest Ed,
Thank you for all of your love and the sacrifices you have made for our family. My mother’s life during her illness would not have been as fulfilling without you. The difference you have made is immeasurable. We shared some very rewarding experiences that made us stronger as we both grieved for the loss of Basha. I will always remember you for your enthusiasm, compassion, and trustworthiness. May you rest peacefully amongst all those beautiful things that you have dreamed of your whole life. We will miss you friend.
    Love,
    Krys, Nicolle, Lilly and Nikko

  4. Charlotte Williams says:

To my Son on his birthday Dec.30th

It broke my heart to lose you-a part of me went with you. Since you left this world I have thought of you a million times-shed a million tears. If loving you could have saved you this mothers love would have done that.
So sorry you were not here Christmas you loved coming to NM to go to Old Town eating tamales, posole and most of all having Moms enchiladas.I will always remember your serene Asian décor apartment and how you loved to have fresh flowers especially sunflowers and roses. Your beautiful pickup is in my driveway waiting to be driven. Love you and miss that phone call and hearing Hi Mom.

    Don’t Know Much
    Linda Ronstadt, Aaron Neville
    LYRICS
Look at this face I know the years are showing
Look at this life I still don’t know where it’s going
I don’t know much but I know I love you
That may be all I need to know
Look at these eyes they never seen what matters
Look at these dreams so beaten and so battered
I don’t know much but I know I love you
That may be all I need to know
So many questions still left unanswered
So much I’ve never broken through
And when I feel you near me, sometimes I see so clearly
That only truth I’ll never know is me and you
Look at this man so blessed with inspiration
Look at this soul still searching for salvation
I don’t know much but I know I love you
That may be all I need to know
I don’t know much but I know I love you
That may be all I need to know
I don’t know much but I know I love you
That may be all there is to know
