Eileen Courtright, 90, returned home to her Heavenly Father on May 3, 2018.
Eileen was born to the late Frank and Rose Suffling, a firefighter and a homemaker respectively, in London, England and was preceded in death by her older sister Joan and younger brother Clive.
Eileen met her husband, Robert Courtright during WWII and they were married for 54 years before his passing in 2003. They resided in Tucson, Arizona and together they enjoyed all that life offered; as active square dancers, gardening, building a cabin in Cholla Bay Mexico, boating and fishing. Later they enjoyed traveling and camping in their travel trailer.
Eileen was known for her humor, quick wit and love of life. She worked as a bookkeeper for over forty years. Eileen was a member of Eastern Star for over 50 years and was a prior Guardian of Bethel 6 of Job’s Daughters.
Eileen survived by her only child JoAnn, son-in-law Jack Grant, grandchildren Jeremy and Jana and great grandchildren Isaac, Delilah and Kayla. We were blessed to celebrate her 90th birthday together before her passing. We will miss her but are comforted that she has been welcomed home.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Tucson Botanical Garden.
Dear JoAnn,
We are sorry to read that your Mom has passed and didn’t know how to contact you so hope you receive this.
We have often wondered how we would know how she was.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time.
Love,
Lloyd and Marilyn Redding
