Eleanor Ione Pawluk was born June 11, 1930, in Kensal, ND. She was baptized September 21, 1930, and confirmed October 22, 1944, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Dazey, ND. She graduated from Dazey  High School on May 27, 1948. On June 26, 1949, she married Orice Pawluk at Our Saviors Lutheran in Dazey. They were married nearly 55 years when he passed away in 2004.

Eleanor loved God, her husband, and her children. Her career was her home and her family, and she was active in her children’s lives. She was also very active in her church through women’s mission work, bible study, and quilting.

She spent most of her life in ND until 1977, when she and Orice moved to AZ after his retirement. They loved to travel in their RV and spent most summers with their kids in the Midwest.

Eleanor walked every day until three years ago, when she fell and broke her hip. She moved in with her care-giver July 5, 2019. Her family is so thankful for Carole Bustillos, who so lovingly cared for her until her death August 6, 2022.

Eleanor was deeply loved and survived by 7 children, 13 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren:

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Fred & Wanda Wolsky, her husband Orice Pawluk, son-in-law Michael Watson, sister Adeline & Oscar Holden, brothers Harold & Esther Ussatis, Loren & Janet Wolsky, and Arlie Wolsky.

Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, 10:00 at Victory Lutheran Church, 5946 E University Dr. , Mesa, AZ
