Elsie Helen Mae Farlow passed away quietly in her sleep on August 2, 2024 in the early afternoon. She was 95 years old and was married to Neil {Bud) Farlow for 74 years and 8 months. Elsie was the last of twelve children born to the farm family of Julia and Torstein Reum in Plaza, North Dakota. She graduated from Plaza High School in 1947 and came West from the farm in 1948 with her parents to visit relatives in San Jose, California. Elsie met Bud, her future husband, there and began a year-long courtship that led to their marriage on November 24, 1949. Three children (Gary, Judy & Terry) blessed the union over the next few years. Elsie had a very outgoing personality and joined many clubs like TOPS, Newcomers clubs, RV clubs and others, gathering a large group of friends. As the children matured under her care, she expanded her interests to outside employment in the electronics industries. Elsie and her husband retired from their respective occupations in the mid-1980’s and expanded their RV activities. They eventually settled in Arizonia with a home in an RV Resort. In these later years Elsie’s memory faded and her health declined and she passed away on August 2, 2024. She leaves her friends, her loving family and her husband with fond memories to support their years ahead.
A Visitation will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery at 11A.M. on August 21st. 2024 followed by a funeral ceremony at 12 P.M.
