Esther Fern Siverly, 89 went to heaven on January 29, 2020.  She was born on June 6,1930 in Union Mills, Indiana, the daughter of Mary & Lester Arthur Schooley. She married James Richard Siverly on November 26, 1950 in Downers Grove, Illinois and they had four children.

Esther enjoyed a career in the retail business in a variety of positions from working at the bakery in the Jewel Supermarket, assembling buttons and keychains, and working as a stock clerk at Mervyns where she finally retired.  Esther was an avid collector of elephants, a rockhound, enjoyed making dolls, and baking, making sure each child and grandchild got their favorite cookies or Kolacky at the holidays both near and far, and was known for her delicious pork & dumplings and chicken noodle soup. There was always room for one more at the dinner table at any given time and Esther was “mom” to all that passed through her door.  She also enjoyed working in the church kitchen and setting up for Sunday services in the fellowship hall while she served as a Deacon at John Calvin Presbyterian Church.

Esther cared for many others during her journey in life and together with her husband James instilled a formidable work ethic, a keen sense of integrity and pride in accomplishments in their children, which served them well in their personal careers and endeavors.

Esther is survived by two daughters and a son, Tony Ray Siverly (Rosalind) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Peggy Jo Siverly-Gray (Robert) of Apache Junction, AZ, Jamie Marie Davis (Mark), of Mesa, AZ, a daughter-in law Maryanne Siverly of Newton, NC, 5 Grandchildren, Andrew Siverly, Allison Siverly, Ronnie Siverly (Jessica), James Siverly,  Summer Carroll (Chris) and 4 great grandchildren, Beamz Siverly, Isabella Siverly, Abbie Siverly, and Miya Siverly, two siblings, Evelyn Anderson and Kenneth Schooley. She is preceded in death by her husband James Richard Siverly, a son, Chriss Richard Siverly, a Brother Willard Schooley, and a brother Ernie Dale Schooley and her parents Mary and Lester Schooley.

There will be a visitation for Esther at 1:00 pm Friday, February 7, 2020, followed by the service at 2:00 pm at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel, 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85207.
