Florence Barnes, 82, of Queen Creek, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 14, 2020 after a well fought battle with cancer. She was born in Trenton, New Jersey, on March 22, 1938 to Maxon and Elda Goudy. Florence had an adventurous and full life. She’s a proud retired postal worker. Florence is preceded in death by her longtime companion, of 30 years, George Cross in 2008. Other family members include, her daughter, Helen Huffman; son, James Barnes; sisters, Tressie Campbell and Jessie Borges; brothers, Maxom Goudy and James Goudy; grandchildren, Robin Brown and Adrianna Huffman and great-grandchildren, Austin Brown and Jackson Baker. She traveled the world and left her infectious smile in the hearts of those she touched. She will always be remembered as a loving and generous person. She will be terribly missed and remembered daily. A graveside service for Florence will be held on Tuesday July 21, 2020 at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E. Main St. Mesa, Arizona 85207.
