In loving memory of a father, grandfather and great grandfather who left a legacy of loving family memories that will live on in all of us.
Frank W. Moir passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Fountain Home Assisted Living, Mesa.
Frank was born on September 7, 1939, in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Myra L. Moir, parents the late William R and Gerda J Moir of Lyndhurst, Ohio, and brothers Alan R and Ian G Moir.
Frank lived a life following the rules of the Masonic Lodge: honesty, courtesy, concern, forgiveness, love for all and reverence for God. As a Master Mason Frank was active for 23 years in various lodges and serving in Oriental Lodge #20, Phoenix, Arizona as his final lodge. Frank was also a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason.
Frank was a man of many careers and loved people. He started his career working in an auto factory on the line, became a life insurance sales representative; owned his own fencing company, Quality Erection Company, for several years; a Superintendent building new bridges throughout Ohio for National Engineering and Contracting Company; and retired as a sales representative in the steel industry from Heflin Steel.
As a Dad he never missed a school sporting event or band concert. He was a jokester who loved family April Fool’s Day pranks. He would do anything for his girls and defend us to the end. Now his Dad responsibilities are complete and he is in his final rest. May our parents hold each other forever.
Frank is survived by his daughters Rebecca Ransom-Emerick (Morris) of Mesa and Tammy Wallace (Alec) of Colorado; Grandchildren: Chance Reddick-Alday (Melissa), Samantha Reddick-Darroch (Jake) and William Wallace; Great Grandchild: Anthony Alday.
A special thank you is extended to the caring staff of Fountain Home Assisted living.
A great and true friend he was to not only myself, but so many
Sending sympathy and prayers to the family. I met Frank at Apache Wells woodshop where he would generously share his knowledge. He was always willing to help, teach, and get involved with various projects. He encouraged me to keep trying wood burning – which I was not very good at. It was an honor to know Frank and he will be missed by many. With sympathy , Kim
Frank and is late wife where a real blessing , I worked with him at A J Weller for almost 10 years. He was always upbeat with a beautiful smile every morning when we came to work. A real professional with his work ethics. My freind.
Frank was my supervisor at the AJ Wellar Company and he was always ready to show me a better way to do things than others. There are still many questions that need answering that only Frank could answer.
All the sales people at the AJ Wellar Company are poorer with his absence from the here and now!
