Harold Schelderup, a caring husband, father and grandfather, passed away on March 13 after a long battle with COPD.  He was born April 23, 1936, in Brooklyn, NY to Harald and Herborg Schelderup. He graduated from Housatonic Valley Regional High School. He joined the United States Air Force in July 1954, retiring after 20 years as a Master Sergeant in 1974. He graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in Political Science in 1982. He met his loving wife and life companion Joan on a train from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City in 1960. They were married on Sep 15, 1960 in Elko, Nevada, and thus began a new phase of his life as a caring father of 5 wonderful children by Joan’s 1st marriage, and eventually fathering 2 daughters born in 1962 and 1966. Donations can be made in his name to United Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Disease Research.
