On Friday, January 24, 2020, Hiram Rowdy Simpson, passed away peacefully at the age of 44.  He was born on February 12, 1975 at Fort Polk, Louisiana.  After graduating from Red Mountain High School in 1993 he went on to study at Chandler-Gilbert Community College.

Rowdy is survived by his wife Jennifer, his mother and father Debee & Chip, his 5 children Preston, Chance, Chandler (Miranda), Austin, and Ainsley, his sister Charity (Paul) Lively, niece Victoria and nephew Justin, sister and brother-in-law Mike and Michelle Tyson, nephews Tyler and Matthew, niece Julia, and many other relatives and loved ones.  He loved his family more than life itself and would do anything for them.  Those that knew Rowdy, knew he loved helping people.

Rowdy spent the last decades of his life perfecting what it meant to be a family man.  When he wasn’t filling his home with warmth and laughter, he was tending to his gardens or perfecting his next recipe.  He lived by an open-door philosophy and made it his mission to bring family together as he knew the importance of having a good time.

Prior to being a domestic engineer, Rowdy served in the United States Air Force and was a great patriot.  He also had a love for cars and worked as an auto mechanic for several years and was able to fix just about anything.

As a proud father, Rowdy was an underlying cause for his children’s success.  Rowdy watched his oldest son Preston grow and carry his patriotism into the United States Army.  Rowdy taught Chance to follow his heart and encouraged him in pursuing his passions of filmography.  Rowdy showed Chandler how to love the way he did, and cheered him on as he flew across the world and proposed to Miranda shortly after graduating from ASU.  Rowdy was the support system that Austin needed as he worked his way through the Phoenix Police Academy and was so proud when he and Jen pinned his badge to his uniform as he became a Peace Officer.  Rowdy has been the Dad a daddy’s girl needed, as Ainsley has been working through school and is soon to graduate from ASU.

His favorite past time was being with his best friend, his soul mate, his true and only love, his wife of 18 years, Jennifer, wherever life would take them.  Whether that be in the lushness of their backyard watching their dogs run around or enjoying the nature in a cabin in Christopher Creek, Rowdy and Jen were complete when with each other.

Rowdy will be waiting for us with a whiskey in one hand and a cigar in another, but until then will be remembered every day, forever and always.

Man, this is a sad one. Rowdy was a great guy and friend. He was always there to help me out. When I needed help with my car, Rowdy was happy to help. When my girlfriend (now fiancé) backed into my dads garage, Rowdy was there to help fix it so I wouldn’t get in trouble! I enjoyed the time I spent with Rowdy and we always had some good laughs and great conversations . My heart goes out to Jen and the whole family, I’m so sorry. Miss you Rowdy.

I FELT I NEEDED TO SAY HOW MUCH ROWDY MEANT TO ME. I HAVE 4 SONS, 2 OF WHICH I DO NOT TALK TOO, BUT ROWDY REPLACED THAT VOID OF BEING ONE OF THOSE SONS. HE WAS A GREAT FATHER OF OF NOT ONLY TWO OF MY GRANDSONS BUT ALSO HIS OWN KIDS. I DON’T ACCEPT A LOT OF PEOPLE IN MY LIFE, BUT ROWDY BECAME NOT ONLY ANOTHER SON TO ME, BUT ONE OF THE ONLY PEOPLE IN MY LIFE THAT I TOTALLY RESPECTED AND LOVED AS ONE OF MY OWN. HE WAS ONE OF THE FEW PEOPLE IN LIFE THAT WAS TOTALLY GENUINE AND LOVED BY ALL. IF CHIP AND DEBEE WERE NOT HIS TRUE PARENTS, I WOULD BE PROUD TO HAVE HIM AS MY OWN SON. HE WAS SOMEONE THAT ANYONE WOULD BE PROUD TO KNOW AND LOVE. IT IS THE WORLDS LOSS TO LOSE SUCH A GREAT MAN.
