In Loving Memory of Irene Stephens
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude that we celebrate the extraordinary life of Irene Stephens, a loving and caring soul who brought joy, warmth, and kindness to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Irene passed away on December 25, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
Born on January 31, 1937 in Sian, China, Irene lived a life defined by her unwavering love for her family and her generous spirit. She was a mother whose love knew no bounds, always placing the needs of her children and grandchildren above her own. Her gentle guidance and endless support were the cornerstones of her family, creating a foundation of love and strength that will endure for generations.
Irene was more than a mother; she was a beloved grandmother who adored her grandchildren with all her heart. She took immense joy in their accomplishments, celebrated their milestones, and cherished every moment she spent with them. Her stories, laughter, and wisdom will live on in our hearts forever.
As a follower of Jesus, Irene had a deep and abiding love for Christ, a faith that guided her actions and brought peace to her life. Her relationship with her Savior was evident in her compassion, kindness, and the joy she found in serving others. Her warmth extended beyond her family to her neighbors and friends, who were often the recipients of her thoughtful gestures and heartfelt kindness.
She also held a special place in her heart for animals, especially quails, which she adored. Her love for the outdoors was boundless; the mountains and natural beauty brought her serenity and happiness. Whether hiking, feeding the birds, or simply taking in the majesty of nature, Irene found joy and connection in the world around her.
Irene leaves behind her husband Vernon, her children John and Anna, and Eileen and Patrick, her grandchildren Connor and Zoey, her siblings Eugene and Sheryl, and a host of extended family and dear friends. She is reunited in heaven with her father, mother, and younger brother, who she has now joined in eternal peace.
A celebration of Irene’s life will be held on TBD at TBD. We invite all who knew her to join us in honoring her remarkable life and the love she shared so freely.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to John Stephens, her favorite and only son that held a special place in her heart.
Irene, Mom, Grandma, your love has left an irreplaceable mark on our hearts. Though we will miss you deeply, we find comfort in the beautiful memories we shared and the love you so generously gave. Rest in peace, knowing you will always be remembered and treasured.
